In a bid to boost tourism in Japan, the Japanese government is set to introduce this system in order to woo the tourists from across the world ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. Tourists will be able to choose this scheme and share their personal details in airports. Government officials expect that this step will vanish the fraud of credit and debit card. 300 souvenir shops, restaurants, hotels and other organizations have endorsed to participate in this experiment. They are situated at the popular destinations of tourists like Hakone, Kamakura, Yugawara in Kanagawa Prefecture, and Atami in Shizuoka Prefecture. As we know that Olympic Games will be held in Tokyo in 2020, so it is believed that this system will become fully adaptable by 2020. Tourists will have to place two fingers on a particular machine, that will identify the user and their personal details. It is believed that this system could also be used instead of passport while booking rooms at hotels. Besides this system, it will also make the tourist operation more efficient as the data obtained will be used to assist Japanese Ministers the “spending habits and location” when the tourists arrive.
