We get to take a look at the full map that will be included in the beta of the feature including 554 settlements compared to the 401 of Mortal Empires (a similar campaign includes in Total War: Warhammer 2).
There will be 278 starting factions and 86 legendary lords, versus 183 and 74 respectively in Mortal Empires.
These numbers will expand further with more legendary lords and races that will be launched as paid and free DLC. The starting positions will be revealed soon.
Given the scale of the map, sea lanes will be introduced (shown in the second map above). Traversing them will take a few turns, but will allow you to move “around the globe” and more.
Locations like Khuresh and Ind, which don’t have settlements in the map or factions to populate them, won’t be traversable at the launch of Immortal Empires.
Total War: Warhammer 3 is currently available exclusively for PC.
If you’d like to learn more, you can read my review of the game, which will give you a better idea of what it offers before the implementation of Immortal Empires, the beta of which will start in Q3 2022.
